Preventative Healthcare - Cat Pet Passport

Cat Pet Passport

The Pet Passport allows your cat to travel to and from Member States of the EU and certain other listed countries without any additional health certification being required.

In order to get a Pet Passport your cat needs to be at least 3 months old, micro-chipped and vaccinated against rabies.

If you do plan to take your cat abroad please check with one of our Vets who will be able to advise you on how best to proceed.

It will remain your responsibility to ensure that your pet is brought back in order that we may keep the rabies vaccination up to date.

Does quarantine still exist?

Treatment of sick and injured animals is obviously a very important part of our work, but we are great believers in preventative medicine.

Yes. All cats entering the UK that do not have a valid Pet Passport must enter quarantine. They will then undergo the necessary procedures and waiting period before being released from quarantine.
